bernadette mcgrory

Bernadette McGrory Farrell MBA, CPA

Bernadette qualified as a CPA in 1988 and in 1996 was conferred with a Masters in Business Administration. She is also the second generation of her family to work in the firm, having being trained by her father, William, and today is a partner at W O McGrory & Company, which has two accountancy offices, in Dublin and Louth. Over the years, in addition to working in the practice, Bernadette has been heavily involved at national and international levels within the profession, which saw her become the first female president of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Ireland from 2000 to 2002.

Bernadette continues to play an important role in shaping the accountancy profession in Ireland, and now sits on the board of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC), the global organisation for the accountancy profession.

Bernadette is also a recurring panellist on RTE Radio 1.

paul farrell

Paul Farrell FCCA, CPA

Qualified as an ACCA in 1985 and became a member of the CPA Institute in 1995. He joined W.O.McGrory & Company. in 1985 and became a Partner in 1988. Paul works closely with all our clients to ensure that their specific and changing business needs are taken care of. "In the Practice we work with start-up businesses right the way through to second-generation family firms. A high percentage of our work these days is carried out at the client's premises.

Tony Mallon, CPA

Tony is the Office Manager. Tony qualified as a CPA in 2000 and joined W.O.McGrory & Company. in 2001. Tony works closely with Paul on a day-to-day basis as a key part of what our clients regard as 'their' finance department.



Clondalkin Team

Anthony Fallon, CPA, AITI

Tony joined the firm in 1987. He has been a qualified member of the Irish Taxation Institute since 1995 and qualified as an accountant with the ACCA in 2000. He was admitted to the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in 2002. He became a partner with the firm in 2005, at which time he also became a registered auditor.

Tony in based in our Clondalkin office. He specialises in tax planning, inheritance planning, corporate restructuring, and members' and creditors' liquidations. He works closely with his clients to achieve maximum returns for them based on their individual circumstances.

In addition to his working duties, Tony has been a member of the Education Committee of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Ireland and is currently the Institute's Technical Liaison with the Office of the Director of Corporate Enforcement.

david power

David Power, CPA

David joined the practice in 1992 and was appointed partner in 2005.

His experience covers a broad range of clients in various business sectors including construction, retail, manufacturing, as well as many service industries and also not for profit organisations.

David takes a 'hands on' approach to dealing with all clients. He tailors his service to small and medium sized business owners in order to provide a cost effective and meaningful service that meets their requirements. He believes that careful business planning together with the regular and timely production of financial information is a key contributor to business success.

David also provides tax planning and compliance services across the entire range of tax heads.

robert mcgrory

Robert McGrory, CPA

Robert qualified as a CPA in 1979 having commenced as a trainee in 1975 in the practice originally set up by his uncle, William.
Over the years, Robert has built up a vast wealth of experience in assisting and advising clients in every aspect of business.

The motto for Robert has always been that regular contact with your client is the essence to a strong and useful relationship. The needs of the client are paramount and experience in indentifying and dealing with these on a timely basis is crucial. Taking the time to fully understand his client's business and the fears and insecurities that exist results in building a bond that is unique to the client and his or her accountant.
